Connection

General:

The PowerBox is only needed for building a track control panel and it is ment to provide the modules with a power supply. The modules can be attached on the right- and/or on the left-hand side of the PowerBox.

Because of the direct plugging together there is a considerable less need of space for the modules in the track control panel, as if they would be connected through networkcables instead.

For operation of the modules at the „PowerBox“ please always close both of the solder pads on the modules for the supply voltage. The PowerBox isolates the connected modules completely from the remaining operating voltage and the networkcable is there only to handle the data exchange.

That means that a connection to the operating voltage via networkcable does not exist!

The supply of the modules which are connected to a PowerBox is effected solely through two little screw-type terminals which are to the left of the RJ45 plug. The voltage should lie betreen 8V – 12V, it can be about direct or alternating voltage.

The LED on the right-hand side illuminates, if voltage lies at the screw-type terminals.

Attention:

A Power-Box should be stressed maximum with 1A current, according to this the fuse on the module is construed.
